Using ontologies of space to perform geometric, temporal and semantic transformations

This project will explore the idea that ontologies of space can be used to assist in the performance of geographic, temporal and semantic transformations.  Such transformations may involve a shift from Euclidean space to some other space (for example, schematic space), some other temporal reference frame or some other semantic or linguistic system.  Ontologies of space may also be used to assist in querying (e.g. by supporting geographic SPARQL querying without the need for additional spatial operators in the query language).

This is an exploratory project requiring innovative and original thinking.
