Q: What is to stop lecturers using facebook? They could start groups for their modules and then answer questions.
A: Nothing. Some do already (try searching for F33SN5 as a facebook group). However student uptake of this facility is universally dire, so why should staff spend time doing this?
Q: I would love the opportunity to use the telescope on the top of the building but it seems this isn't possible.
A: This is possible. You just need to do a training session and then you can use it whenever you like (so long as you aren't interfering with project students). Contact Dr Pearce to arrange this.
