My main areas of interest are around communication skills and community nutrition. As well as convening the communication skills module I also do some teaching about communication skills for 3rd year students pre B Placement and also 4th years between placements B and C.

I have been a community dietitian for many years and this affects how I teach the health promotion and nutrition in the community 1 modules. I am able to bring some real life practical experience which makes it more interesting for myself and the students.

I also teach other sessions on a variety of modules. These are all areas that I have experience of in the previous dietetic posts e.g. HIV/AIDS, cardiovascular disease, clinical audit, role of community dietitian
