Biography

Dr Sarah Rodgers has previously worked as a researcher and lecturer within academia, industry, and the NHS. She gained her degree in Management and Chemical Sciences from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) in 1988 and first joined the University of Nottingham in 1996 as Research Associate in the Division of Primary care. During this time, she undertook a part-time PhD to evaluate a pharmacist-led intervention to reduce prescribing costs in general practice under the supervision of Professor Tony Avery which she completed in 2004. In July 2009 she moved into the NHS to take up the position of Senior Research and Evaluation Fellow at NHS Nottinghamshire County but returned to the University in December 2010 as Senior Research Fellow within NIHR CLAHRC-NDL (www.clahrc-ndl.nihr.ac.uk).
