FAQs

Are you registered with Ofsted?

What qualifications do your staff have?

Our staff recognise that each child has individual needs. They ensure that even our youngest members have solid foundations upon which they can build as they grow and develop – In fact, this is our main aim!

  • All of our staff have a minimum level 3 qualification ( Btec Nat. Dip. in Childcare, Cache Dip., National Nursery Examination Board Diploma (NNEB)) or equivalent in childcare and we employ many graduates.
  • We currently have 7 staff with Early Years Professional Status. This is a post graduate qualification to lead on implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage.

What curriculum do you offer?

  • The Day Nursery is conveniently located right next door to the University Sports facilities therefore we are able to access the swimming pool and sports centre. Children from the Playcentre use the hopper bus to access these facilities and have ease of access to Highfields Park and sports fields (within walking distance). This way, children can be fit and healthy from a young age!

Any complaints?

If you have any complaints about the service being offered, please discuss this first with the staff concerned. If you’re not satisfied with the outcome of these discussions/actions please put your complaint in writing (email is acceptable) to the Childcare Services Manager, who will respond to your complaint within 14 days.

If you’re still not completely satisfied, a formal written complaint should be made to the Head of Student Services. The complaint will then be considered and a written response sent to you. The University of Nottingham Childcare Services

Do you have spaces available? What if I can't get to you?

Due to the high level of demand for the University of Nottingham Childcare Services and our rather long waiting lists, Busy Bees (previously known as Tender Love and Care (TLC) Ltd) was carefully selected by the University to provide day nursery services that complement and work in co-operation with the University’s provision.

To find out more, check out http://www.busybeeschildcare.co.uk/ or call BusyBees directly on 0115 9229117
