Funding opportunities
Most postgraduate students studying in the UK fund their own studies, often through a combination of personal savings, parental loans or contributions, bank loans and support from a trust or charity.

The following information is designed to provide some basic details about the main sources of funding open to postgraduate students who wish to study in the School of Contemporary Chinese Studies at The University of Nottingham. Limited financial support and highly competitive scholarships are available, and we encourage potential applicants to explore all funding possibilities. We recommend that prospective students begin researching funding opportunities at least a year in advance of their proposed start date.
Confucius Institute Scholarships x 10
The School of Contemporary Chinese Studies at the University of Nottingham is pleased to announce 10 scholarship opportunities for the following masters courses:

What do the scholarships cover?

2 x full fee scholarships for UK/EU students with 1st class honours degrees
-
8 x 30% course fee discount for UK/EU students with a 2:1 (or equivalent) qualification
When is the deadline?
The deadline is 1 July 2012 to have applied and accepted an offer to study at the School of Contemporary Chinese Studies.
How to apply:
Qualifying UK / EU applicants applying online will automatically be considered for the scholarships. Please apply via: http://pgapps.nottingham.ac.uk
This award can only be used for the 2012-13 session and cannot be deferred.
The scholarships are offered by the Nottingham Confucius Institute, which is based within the School of Contemporary Chinese Studies at The University of Nottingham.
Weston Scholarships
The School of Contemporary Chinese Studies is only one of five Schools at the University to be awarded a Weston Scholarship for the 2012-13 session. The award is based on academic merit and is equivalent to the University's standard taught postgraduate HEU fee (to the equivalent of B funding). Please note there is no maintenance element to this award. Applicants need to be UK or EU students.
In order to qualify for this scholarship you need to have applied and accepted an offer to study at the School of Contemporary Chinese Studies by 31st July 2012. To find out further information and register your interest in this award please contact Jenny Hall at jenny.hall@nottingham.ac.uk
