Current Funding Sources and Schemes

You may find the following links useful if you are searching for funding, or would like to locate relevant business networks:

EPSRC—the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council supports many of our research projects. This site provides information on current collaborative research projects, and guidance on collaborating. Letters of support from our partners can help us with a successful proposal.

EMDA—the East Midlands Development Agency provides support and advice to enable local SMEs to raise development funding.

Connect Midlands—a not-for-profit network in the Midlands that helps companies to gain investment through organisation of various training and networking events.

Ingenuity Gateway—'Ingenuity' is the umbrella brand for the University of Nottingham's extensive range of business-facing project activities. The site is useful for local businesses to network with academics at the University and for information on skills development workshops and other events. For more information, contact steve.upcraft@nottingham.ac.uk.

Nott Tuesday—the technology industry networking forum for Nottingham. Meetings are held in a city centre venue on the second Tuesday of each month.

Knowledge Transfer Networks (KTN)—set up and funded by government, industry and academia. They are networks of individuals, including industry and academia, with a shared interest in an area of emerging technology. They provide activities and initiatives that promote the exchange of knowledge and the stimulation of innovation in these communities.
