Lecturer/Associate Professor (Three posts)

The Nottingham School of Economics invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the above posts, available from 1 September 2010, or as soon as possible thereafter.  Candidates with research and teaching interests in behavioural/experimental economics or trade theory are particularly encouraged to apply. However, applications are welcome from candidates with interests across all areas of the discipline, including development economics, international economics or microeconomics.

The School is one of the premier research and teaching Departments for economics in Europe (ranked 3 rd in the UK on research power and 6 th on grade point quality in the most recent RAE), with an international reputation for excellence in teaching and research scholarship of the highest quality across all areas of the discipline. The successful candidates will be expected to add to these strengths. Candidates at the Associate Professor level must have an established research reputation with an excellent publications record.

Salary, depending on qualifications and experience, will be within the range:

  • Associate Professor scale: £46,278 - £55,259 per annum (salary can progress to £65,965 per annum, subject to performance).
  • Lecturer scale: £32,458 - £43,622 per annum (salary can progress to £50,569 per annum, subject to performance).
