Biography

Daniel Pead is a member of the Shell Centre for Mathematical Education and works on the US-based MARS project - the Mathematics Assessment Resource Service.

MARS has been active in the USA for some time producing groundbreaking assessment packages, and are now designing the Problem Solving component of the QCA/AQA "World Class Tests" project in the UK. "World Class Tests" are designed to identify and encourage gifted and talented pupils at age 9 and 13, using an innovative mixture of computer-based and "pencil-and-paper" assessment.

Daniel's background is in software, multimedia and web design for education.
