I co-convene the following modules: Introduction to Teaching English for Academic Purposes, Issues in Teaching English for Academic Purposes and Assessment in English for Academic Purposes. These modules are all offered as part of the School of Education's MA TESOL (face to face and online versions).

I also co-convene the module 'Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL)', which is offered to undergraduate students in the School of Modern Languages and Cultures who are planning to teach EFL during their year abroad.

I am convenor for 'Metaphor in Language and Communication' which is offered to undergraduates on the BA in English Language and Applied Linguistics in the School of English Studies.

I am particularly interested in all areas of teacher training in EAP, as well as the development of students' pragmatic and metaphoric competence in EAP.
