Current Research

Mr Chris Somerfield is currently involved in research in: Trace and ultra-trace analysis of elements in coal. Development of novel microwave digestion methods. The analysis of carbon and sulphur in geological materials by coulometric titration. He is currentley collaborating with Dundee Hospital on S in diet and undertaking collaborative research into developing novel approaches for the ICP-AES analysis of archaelogical ceramics and glass and also ancient Roman silver coinage.
