Accommodation

There are a large number of halls of residence and different types of University accommodation on campus. The Accommodation Office has a website with a full listing of all types of accommodation.  Living in University accommodation gives you an opportunity to meet other students on campus and make friends with other international students and UK students.

If you are looking to rent a house, the Accommodation Office website also has lots of information about renting in the private sector as well as a list of landlords with properties currently available.

At Nottingham, all first year undergraduate students are guaranteed a room in University accommodation. Visiting Exchange students and new postgraduate students must contact the University Accommodation Office as soon as possible. All students interested in booking University accommodation should follow the instructions and can book on-line. For accommodation options and a list of costs, please see the Accommodation Office website.

The International Office can help with any queries you may have about supporting your family in the UK. They can advise about local schools and even provide free English language tuition for the partners of international students - a great way to meet other international families here in Nottingham.

The University has childcare facilities for all students who have children at the University from nursery care for younger children to holiday play schemes for older children.

The International Office also organise events and activities for international children including a Christmas party!
