New Course - MSc Psychology & Health

The Institute is now accepting applications for our new PGDip/MSc in Psychology & Health. This course is designed for those interested in the application of psychological theory to the promotion of health and well-being. It will be of interest to those who may already be working in relevant health-related settings but also those who are new to the area. The full-time course involves two semesters of taught modules and a semester devoted to an empirical research project. Teaching takes place on two days per week during the taught component of the degree. Students wishing to undertake the part-time route can negotiate their own study plan in conjunction with the Course Director – Dr Neil Coulson (neil.coulson@nottingham.ac.uk). One attractive feature of this course is that it does not require an undergraduate degree in Psychology and will therefore be of interest to those from a range of educational backgrounds.

Note: For those wishing to pursue a career as a health psychologist – we also offer the BPS accredited MSc Health Psychology (Course director: Dr Heather Buchanan heather.buchanan@nottingham.ac.uk). This is considered stage 1 in the 2 stage process towards becoming a Chartered Psychologist and Health Psychologist as recognised by the British Psychological Society and Health Professions Council.
