Giorgio La Pira Prize for Sandesh Sivakumaran

We are pleased to announce that Sandesh Sivakumaran has been awarded the Journal of International Criminal Justice – Giorgio La Pira prize for 2009. The award is for an article he published earlier this year on ‘Courts of Armed Opposition Groups: Fair Trials or Summary Justice’. Sandesh will receive the award at a ceremony in January, in Florence, from Antonio Cassese (President of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon) and the Right Honourable Dr Martini (President of the Regione Toscana).
