The Business Growth Benefits of Higher Education

Lord Dearing died in 2009 leaving an indelible legacy for UK higher education with his landmark 1997 report Higher Education in the Learning Society. He also had particular impact on The University of Nottingham as Chancellor from 1993 to 2000.

In recognition of Lord Dearing’s contribution to higher education and to debate its future, The University of Nottingham hosts the ‘Annual Dearing Higher Education Conference’. In 2012 the conference will take place at the East Midlands Conference Centre on Thursday 23 February from 9am to 5pm.
