Current Research

My current research is in the area of Natural Products Chemistry, which include structure identification and elucidation, chemical reactivity and biological activity of secondary metabolites from Malaysian flora.

Future Research

Natural products chemistry: structure, stereochemistry, reactivity, biological activity, preparation and derivatization of new or bioactive natural compounds.

Development of new synthetic methodologies based on the organic chemistry of hypervalent iodine: preparation, structural characterization, and synthetic application of new hypervalent iodine compounds.
