Biography
I am a Taiwanese pharmacist registered in 1993 and worked as a hospital pharmacist. From 1995, I did a MSc course at the Institute of Clinical Pharmacy, Cheng-Kung University, majoring in drug utilisation evaluation and pharmacoepidemiology. From 1996 to 1998, I was a Teaching Assistant at the Institute and a Clinical Pharmacist at the University Hospital, specialising in infectious diseases.
Between 1999 and 2001, I was a Director of Pharmacy in a local hospital and a university Lecturer in southern Taiwan. Being sponsored by the Taiwanese Ministry of Education, I started my PhD programme at the Drug Usage and Pharmacy Practice Group in the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Manchester in 2001, for a clinical outcome and cost-effectiveness research. I worked as a Research Associate for health economic teaching and meta-analysis research in the Group after granted PhD in 2005.
From 2007 to March 2010, I worked as an Assistant Professor at the Graduate Institute of Clinical Pharmacy, Kaohsiung Medical University in Taiwan. I heavily involved in teaching and outcome and economic research on clinical and policy-related health care issues. In April 2010, I moved to Nottingham and worked as a Lecturer in Medicine Use.
Research Summary
My main research interest is to assess the clinical and economic impacts of treatments or health-care policy. My current research and international collaborations are as following:
