Research Summary

I am currently using linked GPRD and HES data to study the epidemiology of diverticular bleeding and femoral hernia.

Recent Publications

Past Research

My main research focus has been on the epidemiology and treatment of patients with diverticular disease. I completed my PhD on symptom aetiology in diverticular disease and the epidemiology of perforated diverticular disease. Since completion of my PhD my post doctoral work has focused on the epidemiology of complicated diverticular disease with a focus on using routinely collected data to answer clinically important questions regarding the aetiology of symptoms.

Future Research

I plan to use routinely collected health care data to study the epidemiology of various surgical conditions.
