Biography

Barrie obtained a BSc (Hons) in Applied Psychology and Computing from Bournemouth University in 1998. He completed an MSc in Machine Perception and Neurocomputing at Keele University in 1999. In 2004 he obtained his PhD in Psychology at Cardiff University. He has worked as a Research Assistant at Keele University (1999-2000), a Research Associate at Cardiff University (2003-2006), an MRC Career Development Fellow at the MRC Institute of Hearing (2006-2009), and a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Nottingham (2009 onwards). He is currently involved in writing systematic reviews and coordinating a guideline development group at the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Physiotherapy.
