Biography

K. Jayaprakasan is working as a Clinical Associate Professor/ Consultant subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine at the Nottingham University Research and Treatment Unit in Reproduction (NURTURE), IVF unit of Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham since December 2010. He obtained MBBS degree from Government medical college, Calicut (India) in 1994; MD in Obs and Gynae from BJ Medical College, Pune (India) in 1998; became a member of Royal college of Obstetrician and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) in 2002. He was awarded PhD in 2009 by the University of Nottingham for his work related to standardizing the methods of ovarian reserve assessment with particular focus on 3D ultrasound markers such as antral follicle count and has published many original articles on related topics in leading fertility and ultrasound journals. He has done his sub-speciality training in Reproductive Medicine in Nottingham during 2008-2010.

Research Summary

Current research interests are ovarian ageing, fertility preservation and application of conventional and advanced ultrasound in Reproductive Medicine.
