Biography

Kim was appointed Associate Professor in April 2005, having worked in the Centre as a Senior Trial Manager for the previous six years. She is Deputy Director of the Centre of Evidence Based Dermatology and is responsible for the conduct and supervision of clinical trials in the Centre. She has a particular interest in clinical trial methodology (especially outcomes research) and is a founder member of the UK Dermatology Clinical Trials Network.

Kim is currently acting as Programme Manager for the department's NIHR programme grant award - Setting Priorities and Reducing Uncertainties for the prevention and treatment of Skin Disease (SPRUSD), and is a member of the School Research Committee.

She is an advisor to the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE), is a member of the Medicines for Children Research Network (MCRN) clinical studies group for general paediatrics, and is an affiliate member of the Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Commissioning Board.

She is assistant section editor for Evidence-based Dermatology in the Journal of the Spanish Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (Actas Dermosifiliograficas).
