Schools should ensure where feasible appropriate feedback is provided to students on assessed work in order to facilitate improvement and promote learning. Feedback should be related to the assessment criteria, in order to help students identify areas for improvement as well as commending them for evident achievement. The way students will receive assessment results electronically is changing this year.
A transcript of marks will be emailed to student email accounts on Tuesday 25 June 2013 (undergraduates)*. The email will also provide a link to the Blue Castle website where students will be able to see transcripts in full. Students are asked to ensure that there is space available in their University inbox to allow them to receive the email. To access Blue Castle students will need their University username and password so need to make sure they have those details.
From Tuesday 16 July 2013 students will also be able to get details of progression status via email and also on Blue Castle. Final awards will be published on 24 June (Undergraduate)** and 1 July (Postgraduate).
If students have any questions about the results they receive, they should contact their School or Department at the earliest opportunity.
*Postgraduate students will be able to see their marks for the current session from 10.00am on 1 July unless their School/Department has advised of a later release.
Marks for Veterinary Medicine and Science students will be available from 10am on Friday 12 July.
**Awards for Veterinary Medicine and Science students will be published at 10am on Thursday 27 June.
The reassessment fees for 2012-2013 are £80 for UG students and £130 for PG students. If examinations are taken overseas there is an single administrative charge of £90. Please see the Overseas Examinations section for further details. The reassessment fees can be paid in person at the Finance Office or via the 'My Finance' tab on the Portal.
Reassessment results for August 2013 examinations will be available via Blue Castle from 10am on Wednesday 11th September.
