Annual updating of Programme and Module Specifications
Policy and procedure for the annual updating of Programme and Module Specifications
Schools may identify changes to Programme and Module Specifications as a result of their Annual Monitoring procedures. Schools must ensure that these changes are incorporated in the documents published by the University and also that the relevant course and module data is available for central University processes in accordance with published deadlines .
In the case of some of the changes Schools may wish to make, they may need to consult other affected School(s), inform students and/or seek central University approval (see below), before the changes can be implemented.
Updating Programme Specifications
Changes to Programme Specifications can be made directly by Schools to centrally held data in the session before the changes apply.
The policy on Approval of Changes to Programme Specifications defines School responsibilities with regard to reporting changes for approval, as well as ensuring students are advised and other affected Schools are consulted about such changes.
The data for Programme Specifications entered by Schools in the central system will, as far as possible, be used for all central processes including University publication of Programme Specifications (including Supplementary Regulations). Changes which are required for central processes must be made according to published deadlines.
It will not normally be possible to make changes to the Supplementary Regulations section of a Programme Specification after the start of the session for which those Regulations apply.
Updating Module Specifications
Changes to Module Specifications can be made directly by Schools to centrally held data in the session before the changes apply.
The policy on Approval of Changes to Module Specifications defines School responsibilities with regard to reporting changes for approval, as well as ensuring students are advised and other affected Schools are consulted about such changes.
