Accommodation guarantee

Our promise

We know how daunting it can be to move to a new place, and we want to make it as easy and comfortable for you as possible. You can rest assured with our promise to guarantee you a room in University-arranged accommodation* for your first year (for students starting in September) if you:

1. accept your offer of a course place at The University of Nottingham
2. apply to us for accommodation by 1 August 2013
3. accept your accommodation offer and the terms and conditions by the deadline given in your offer letter
4. you have Unconditional Firm status by 31 August 2013

*University-arranged accommodation is either owned and managed by the University or by approved external providers.

If you do not meet the criteria, our website will be updated after 1 August 2013 to let you know what options are available to you and how to apply. 

For students on postgraduate courses which start later in the academic year it is not possible to guarantee accommodation as standard accommodation licences begin in September.  You can contact us on pgaccommodation@nottingham.ac.uk and we will advise on accommodation options with availability from the date you require accommodation.  If we cannot help you with University-arranged accommodation we will advise you on other options.

Knowing I had a guarantee of accommodation was such a comfort. My accommodation is a little haven; everything is so perfect for me – the facilities, the location, helpful staff – it’s really important that I don’t worry about my accommodation so I can put 100% concentration into my studies.
