Industrial sponsors
The number of industrial companies that have expressed an interest in the CDT is large and increasing. Currently there are at least 35 companies interested in working with our research scientists and engineers, 19 of which are supporting projects across cohorts 1-4.
Industrial involvement offers an invaluable addition to the CDT experience. It ensures that the PhD projects are relevant to industry and capable of having a significant impact on the way products are currently manufactured.
Students will complete a 3 month internship with their project sponsor, giving them the opportunity to understand the industrial environment that their research will influence.
