Facilities on campus
Did you know that alumni of The University of Nottingham have exclusive access to facilities on campus, including our libraries and sports facilities?
Whether you're back on campus for a day or two, or live locally - find out how we can help you make the most of our campuses and facilities.
Here at the University, we have eight libraries covering a wide range of subjects - from arts to engineering, business to science, and everything else in between.
Alumni are welcome to become external borrowers for a reduced annual membership fee of £25 plus VAT.
As an external borrower you can:
- borrow up to six ordinary loan books for a period of four weeks
- access a selection of electronic resources through the Walk-in User service.
To join, all you need to do is come along to the lending desk at any of our libraries with a valid Alumni Card and the fee. We accept cash, cheques, and debit or credit card payments.

It's a great era for sport at Nottingham. We have fantastic facilities across all our campuses, including the new £40 million David Ross Sports Village at University Park, and a wide range of classes and activities for all to take part in.
As a graduate of the University, you can purchase an annual sports membership for just £165, giving you exclusive access to our facilities and services.
To get a sports membership, all you need to do is get your Alumni Card by contacting the Alumni Relations team.

Students' Union membership
Did you know that you can continue to be a member of the Students' Union after you graduate from the University? If you want to continue to be part of the societies and activities offered by the Students' Union, you can purchase a Student's Union membership.
There are two options available to alumni:
- Associate membership for one year (1 September - 31 August) = £5 plus the membership fee of any society you join.
- Associate membership for life = £30 plus the annual membership fee of any society you join.

On campus accommodation
The Orchard Hotel is the University's eco-friendly, 202-bed hotel situated next to the East Midlands Conference Centre on University Park Campus.
We are able to exclusively offer alumni discount at the Orchard Hotel, subject to availability.
If you would like to book accommodation, please contact our Alumni Relations team and provide your name, year of graduation and subject of study, in order to receive the special discount code.

Halls of Residence
Alumni and visitors are welcome to stay in hall accommodation on campus, whether for a short or long stay.
We have a range of guest rooms located within our student residences that are reserved specifically for guest use all year round.

The Hemsley Restaurant and Bar
Alumni and guests are welcome to visit our exclusive Hemsley Restaurant and Bar, formerly the Staff Club. Located on University Park Campus, The Hemsley caters for both informal and formal dining throughout the week, and is available to hire for private events.
Serving a delicious selection of starters, mains and deserts from our al a carte menu, The Restaurant is open for lunch from 12pm-2pm and for evening dinner from 6pm-9pm. Advanced booking is advisable - to book a table please call +44 (0)115 951 5950.
For a more informal atmosphere, The Deli is open for lunch from 12pm-2pm serving a selection of sandwiches and hot and cold dishes.
The Bar at The Hemsley is open from 11.30am-8pm, with a large choice of drink options, including a fine wine cellar, and bar meals available.

Weddings at The University of Nottingham
If you met the love of your life at university, or you want your special day to take place in the stunning surroundings of University Park, you might be interested to learn that you can hold your wedding at The University of Nottingham. We also offer special rates for alumni of the University.
If you're looking for a traditional setting to celebrate your special day, there's none better than the Trent Building, which offers oak-panelled ante-rooms leading through to the Great Hall where our civil licence enables you to tie the knot.
Relax and enjoy the serenity of the Senate Chamber for your wedding breakfast, and perhaps follow the terraces down to the boating lake, offering a beautiful backdrop for wedding photographs to remember.
A selection of halls also offer traditional surroundings for your wedding.
