Balls, bakes and bright pink!
October is breast cancer awareness month – and it's been a busy month here at Nottingham with a whole host of events to raise money for our breast cancer research. Thank you to everyone who has taken part – from the ultra-glamourous Boobie Ball to Think Pink Day to bake sales across the University community.
We've now raised over £550,000 for our breast cancer research as part of Life Cycle 6 – but there's still a long way to go to reach our £1 million target and we need your help to close the gap. Visit our Life Cycle 6 website to find out more about how you can help.
In the meantime, take a look at what we've been up to this month...
The Boobie Ball
A great night was had by over 170 guests at the glamorous Boobie Ball earlier this month. Held at the stunning Colwick Hall, the evening was a huge success and raised over £4,000 for our research!
Bakes and cakes
It's certainly been a tasty month in Nottingham, with bake sales offering mouth-watering goodies and treats taking place across our University community.
Think Pink Day
Our campuses turned bright pink for Think Pink Day, with staff hosting a whole range of fundraising activities from bake offs to book sales. Even the Trent Building got in on the action, proudly wearing pink for the occasion!

Every penny that is raised through fundraising events such as these goes directly to our research. Our professors are working on innovative research to detect breast cancer early, stop it spreading and develop treatments to save lives.
