Studying part-time

All of our courses, unless otherwise specified, can be taken part-time; this is a particularly popular option for those needing to study alongside family and professional commitments. As a part-time student you will take the same combination of modules as full-time students, but spread them over a longer period:

• part-time undergraduate courses - five to seven years
• part-time taught masters degree - two to four years
• part-time masters by research degree - up to two years
• part time MPhil study - minimum of two years
• part-time PhD study - minimum of four years

We encourage you to apply as early as possible, especially if you are intending to apply for funding as many applications to scholarships require you to have an offer of a place before you can be considered.
