Teaching Award

The Department is delighted to announce that Gabriele Neher, Lecturer in Art History, has been awarded the prestigious Lord Dearing Award for Teaching and Learning.

The Lord Dearing Award Scheme has, since 1999, recognised the outstanding achievements of University of Nottingham staff in enhancing the student learning experience. Since its inception, over 100 members of staff, from a range of different staff groups have received an award, many of whom have been nominated by the students they teach and support. A Lord Dearing Award is highly valued within the University and acknowledges the world-class input of staff in creating a student learning environment which is, on the one hand, supportive and nurturing, but on the other, is challenging, creative and innovative.
