Undergraduate Fees & Funding

Tuition Fees

A full schedule of fees can be viewed on the University’s tuition fees information page. For a list of current fees, please see links below:

Information on how to pay tuition fees can be found in the university’s financial pages. Please note that these costs cover academic tuition fees only. The additional cost of maintenance is the responsibility of the student or the sponsoring agency. As a general guide £7,500 is sufficient to cover the cost of accommodation and maintenance for the duration of a three year course. It is important to take this into account when approaching potential sponsors.

For a comprehensive guide to other maintenance costs that you are likely to encounter while at university take a look at the Undergraduate Online Prospectus financial pages.

Scholarships and Bursaries for Home students

To support full-time home students, the university offers one of the most generous bursary schemes in the country, and it is estimated that 30% of full-time UK students joining us will be eligible to benefit from our bursary scheme.  University of Nottingham bursaries are in addition to any standard higher education grant you may receive from the UK government. Bursaries of this type depend on residual household income. More information can be found in the Student Services pages.

Financial Support

The University's Financial Support team (part of Student Services) offers extensive information and advice on all aspects of student finance to current and prospective students eg funding, bursaries and scholarships.

Open Days

The School of Biology runs two separate Open Day programmes. The first of these, which take place over the summer are designed for students who are thinking about applying to the University (Undergraduate University-wide Open Days ). The second is for those who have already applied to study with us (Undergraduate UCAS Visit Days ) and take place between November and March.
