PhD Successes October 2011

Congratulations to the following students who successfully defended their PhD theses:

Laura Lyons, supervised by Dr Peter Wigmore and Dr Geoff Bennett, whose PhD was entitled "Fluoxetine prevents the cognitive and cellular effects of chemotherapy in the adult hippocampus".  Laura's project was sponsored by Cancer Research UK.

Eman Alefishat, supervised by Dr Vera Ralevic and Dr Steve Alexander.  Eman's project was on the nucleotide regulation of the vascular system.  Eman will now return to her country, Jordan, to take up a Faculty position there.
