Neuroscience Degree Courses

BSc (Hons) / MSci (Hons) Neuroscience
Neuroscience is a fascinating area of study, focusing on the brain, spinal cord and peripheral nervous system in terms of their function and dysfunction associated with central nervous system disorders. As such, neuroscience encompasses a wide range of disciplines, including behaviour, genetics and cellular and molecular biology.

The MSci is four years (as opposed to three for the BSc) and includes either a year in industry or studying abroad. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to develop your skills in a new environment.
Visit our online prospectus to find out more about the BSc and MSci courses and how to apply.

BSc (Hons) Neuroscience with Pharmacology
Similar to the BSc (Hons) Neuroscience, but with additional modules that look at how drugs interact with the central nervous system. Pharmacology modules include autonomic neurophysiology and neuropharmacology, medical pharmacology, molecular pharmacology and an in-depth research project in neuropharmacology.
Visit our online prospectus to find out more about this course and how to apply.

BSc (Hons) Neuroscience with Biochemistry
As with BSc (Hons) Neuroscience, you’ll study the brain, spinal cord and nervous system, but you’ll also take modules in biochemistry. These include principles of gene functions, the structure and function of proteins, the biochemistry of disease, and advanced biochemistry.
