Registering on your course To the top arrow

New undergraduate students, and new full-time postgraduate students are required to register with the University during the first week of session at a centrally organised registration event held in the Sports Centre at University Park. Please visit the University's registration web pages for details at www.nottingham.ac.uk/current/registration/. For students based on the Sutton Bonington Campus, transport will be provided to and from registration. At registration you will be given a registration document and asked to check that our details about you are correct. You will also be asked to sign the document to indicate your agreement to observe the University's regulations. You will also be asked to complete a new entrant's form which provides information which we are required to send to the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA). For further details of what happens in Week One, and for much more pre-arrival information provided by the School, please click here.

You must amend/confirm your personal data within 10 days of registration. You are also responsible for maintaining your personal data online (eg changes of address). All amendments should be made online at: https://my.nottingham.ac.uk

Returning undergraduate and full-time postgraduate students should register online through the Portal, which you can do either from home before returning to University or from a University terminal on arrival. You can access the portal with your IS username and password. If you have forgotten your username and password, or if you are having difficulties accessing the portal, please contact the Student IT Helpline student-it-helpline@nottingham.ac.uk. If you have never registered for IT facilities and do not have a username and password please see the IS webpages for instructions. Students will have a six week window - from mid-August until two weeks after the start of session - in which to register. The majority of returning students will be expected to register online in their own time. A small number of staffed sessions will be arranged in Computer Rooms during the first two weeks of term for those students who require additional help in registering. However, please note, if you have tuition or any other fees or debts owing to the University, you will not be permitted to register on the following year of your course. Click here for School of Biosciences information for returning students.

New part-time postgraduate students are permitted to register by post. You will be sent all relevant documents in the post prior to the start of session. Returning part-time postgraduate students will register online.
