Research Degrees
We offer a wide variety of research degrees ranging from MRes such as our MRes in Advanced Genomic and Proteomic Sciences and three or four year PhD research programmes.
Research collaboration includes the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology, The British Geological Survey, Scottish Agricultural College, plus UK and international universities. Research funding ranges from Research Councils (e.g. BBSRC, NERC), EU and DEFRA.

PhD studentships are advertised within the School of Biosciences Postgraduate vacancies. The School has approximately 200 PhD students. Most research studentships are advertised between December and April.
