Teaching Focus : The teaching in the Division of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences is undertaken by leading specialists in their subject areas and focuses on a diverse range of agri-environmental issues including climate change, sustainable soil and water management, environmental pollution, behavioural ecology, agricultural management, marketing and economics. A constant focus on modern developments, processes and techniques ensures that students are placed ahead of their field and leave with the best possible start to their careers. Teaching and Student Support : All students are allocated a personal tutor on arrival, who is a member of the teaching staff and will be able to give advice and support on academic and individual matters. The Division is well known for its supportive and friendly community environment; the quality of the learning experience results in around 75% of graduates being awarded a first or 2.1 degree.
The School's teaching quality is regularly recognised as outstanding. A score of 23 out of 24 was achieved in the most recent Teaching Quality Assessment, again the highest mark in our subject areas.
