MSc. Plant Genetic Manipulation
This course is designed to provide students with specialist knowledge of the theory and practical skills of plant genetic manipulation relevant to plant biotechnology, plant breeding and genome research, leading to appropriately trained scientists for employment in agro-industry, academia and research institutes. The degree course is targeted at graduate UK and international students who have an appropriate background (or work place experience) in the Biological Sciences.
This Masters course is run by Tim Robbins and Mike Davey in the Plant and Crop Sciences Division and most of the teaching on it is done by members of the Plant and Crop Sciences Division.

Students taking the Masters course in Plant Genetic Manipulation visit a range of different institutions involved in plant genetics and breeding. Here they are outside of the main gates at the world famous Kew gardens in London, where they get a guided tour of the Herbarium and the Jodrell Laboratories as well as exploring the amazing diversity of plants in the gardens themselves.
