PG Certificate in Brewing: Principles & Practice (E Learning)
The PGCert in Brewing: Principles and Practice (E Learning) is designed for individuals in the Brewing and allied industries who would like to improve their understanding of the scientific principles and practice of the Brewing process. This course would also be highly suitable for those aspiring to a career as a practical Brewer.
The certificate consists of five modules covering Raw Materials for Brewing, Brewhouse Processes, Brewery Yeast Management, Fermentation and Yeast Handling and Beer Maturation. Modules are delivered by a combination of interactive e-learning (75%) and intensive advanced residential courses (25%) and full access to a virtual library is provided. The programme is flexible and can be completed in 1-2 years as appropriate. The postgraduate certificate is taught by staff from the School of Biosciences with expertise in brewing and related sciences, together with invited contributions from specialist brewing practitioners; all are internationally renowned leaders within their field.
