-
Formal coursework assignments associated with the lecture modules
-
Research project
-
A viva voce examination
Evaluation of Postgraduate Certificate in Sensory Science
All taught modules are assessed by coursework, examination or a combination of both, as prescribed in the Catalogue of Modules. The practical exercise is assessed by a written report of the project undertaken. Candidates will be deemed to have passed if all module marks are 30% or above and the credit-weighted overall average mark is 40% or above. To qualify for the award of Postgraduate Certificate students are required to accumulate 60 credits. Candidates achieving a credit-weighted overall average mark of 70% or more will be awarded the Certificate with Distinction. Candidates who achieve an overall average mark of 69% may be awarded a Distinction based on their performance in a viva voce examination.
