Postgraduate Courses

Courses at the School of Biosciences are taught by leading specialists and offer a diverse range of environmental issues, plant and animal growth and reproduction, agricultural production, food quality and preservation, health and nutrition. A constant focus on modern developments, processes and techniques ensures that students are placed ahead of their field and leave with the best possible start to their careers.

All courses are of twelve months duration and lead to the degree of MSc, although some can be studied part time. Our MRes courses usually contain a taught element.

Student Support

You will be joining a large but friendly postgrad community of around 300 students from 30 countries. Postgraduate students are members of the University's Graduate School and can also take advantage of the programme of academic and social activities run by the Sutton Bonington Graduate Centre . The Centre's role is to encourage networking between postgraduates across a wide range of disciplines.
