Scholarships
International Undergraduate Student Scholarship
The scholarship is awarded during December of the first year of study in the form of a cheque for £1000. Formal registration onto the programme will take place in September at the beginning of that academic year.
The scholarship is offered for the first year that the student is registered on any of the undergraduate degree programmes within the School of Biosciences. Details of the School’s undergraduate degree programmes can be found on the University Courses List.
The School of Biosciences welcomes well qualified international students and has a long tradition of accepting students from all over the world. To assist with the costs of studying in the United Kingdom, a Scholarship is available to all undergraduate students, applying through UCAS, to whom an offer has been made for one of the degree courses within the School.
The University also offers all International Students a guarantee of accommodation. Full details of this guarantee are given in the University Prospectus and the University Web Site.
New International Students are also offered a free pick-up coach service from London’s Heathrow Airport when attending the University’s Welcome Programme.

Please note that these costs cover academic tuition fees only. The additional cost of maintenance and accommodation is the responsibility of the student or the sponsoring agency. Students applying for the course must take this into account when approaching potential sponsors.
