University Calendar
The University calendar is structured into three terms but just two semesters. For Brewing Science students it is easiest to think in terms of Semesters. We recommend that you study at the rate of 20 Credits per Semester. Based upon this rate of progression through any of our postgraduate programmes, you would expect to spend 1 week per Semester at the University of Nottingham, on one of our Intensive Residential Courses. These take place at the end of the semester concerned – i.e. in January for Semester 1 modules and in May-June for Semester 2 modules. For the remainder of the Semester, you study by distance learning – primarily e-learning.

- other activities – do you need adjustment to allow your involvement in fieldwork, laboratory work etc?
