*NEW* Bridging the Gaps Plus:-

Bridging the Gaps has recently secured University of Nottingham Research Committee funding to expand the project to cover other themes and disciplines. 'Bridging the Gaps Plus' will run from October 2008 to September 2009, with a parallel programme of events, Bridging the Gaps Plus Awards and Visiting Scholarships, within the themes of the Digital Economy and Lifelong Health and Wellbeing. *NEW* Wearable Personal Sensing Makefest and Sandpit

Two new events, the Wearable Personal Sensing Makefest and associated £30,000-prizepool Sandpit, have been announced. Registrations for the Makefest and applications for the Sandpit are now being accepted.

*NEW* Interdisciplinary Research Showcase

This University-wide Interdisciplinary Research Showcase will be held during National Science and Engineering Week 2009. All are welcome - more details can be found here.

Bridging the Gaps Match-Making Service

Do you have a collaborative research idea, but not sure who to approach in other schools? The Match-Making Service might be able to help.

The Interdisciplinary Bridging Officer, Dr. Sophie Dale, is interested to hear from members of the six focus schools, in addition to other related parties, about the development of interdisciplinary research collaborations.
