UK INSURANCE ECONOMISTS' CONFERENCE
The UK Insurance Economists’ Conference has been hosted by the University of Nottingham for twenty seven out of the last twenty nine years. It provides a relaxed forum where insurance practitioners and academics can discuss, with vigour, those issues of interest to economists and/or strategists working in the areas of insurance, risk, or personal financial services. We normally expect between 35 and 45 delegates to attend each year. The Conference is characterised by its friendly and relaxed style. Each paper is allocated one hour in the programme, and speakers can expect a high level of audience participation. Papers are welcome from both academics and practitioners, and the programme tries to maintain a balance between the two. Speakers are reminded that delegates have a wide range of experiences, and are asked to avoid too much technical, mathematical and/or statistical detail in their presentations. Papers are welcomed from a wide range of insurance and risk perspectives, spanning all the activities of the UK insurance industry. The conference will be held at the Jubilee Campus of The University of Nottingham. Delegates have the choice of staying at the Hall (ie. in study rooms) or booking into one of Nottingham’s many fine hotels. If you would
like to receive further details of the conference, including the programme
and booking form, please complete the form below.
