Business Leaders Executive Briefing

Ken Starkey, Professor of Management and Organisational Learning

Nottingham University Business School

Join us at the first of our executive breakfast briefings for 2012:

New Directions in Leadership Development

Leading business schools across the world emphasise that their fundamental role and responsibility is to create outstanding leaders. Is it not ironic then that we are living through a financial crisis in which graduates of the world’s top schools have played a leading role? We have learned from experience that the leaders business schools chose as exemplars too often prove to have clay feet. What should we be doing in response?

• What kind of business leadership do we need for the future?

• How can we recast models of leadership to take account of the cultural and social complexity of a global business environment?

• How does the way we develop leaders in organisations need to change?

This seminar challenges established modes of thinking about leadership in business and presents a radical new paradigm for leadership and leadership development.
