Research Topic:
The Financial Impact of Operational Disruptions on Businesses

Research Details:
The research project investigates aspects of both the frequency and (financial) impact of operational disruptions on businesses. There are 3 strands to the research as detailed below.
The first part of the project examines the effect on share prices of operational disruptions affecting individual companies.
The second part of the project looks at the effect of major operational disruptions on probability of bankruptcy for smaller firms.
The final part of the project explores the cross-sectional variation in shareholder returns following major global incidents.
