Research Topic:
Exploring barriers to creativity in the English NHS

Research Details:
Tensions exist in public services in relation to need to maintain stability and, at the same time, the need to change, particularly so in a tight fiscal environment.

Additionally, it is claimed that a risk averse culture pervades NHS organisations. My doctoral research study will explore issues around the duality of stability and change examining what creativity might be, and how creative potential may be realised, or otherwise.
