A Discourse Analytic Study of the Identity Construction of HR Practitioners in Local Government

Research Details:
The study aims to investigate how the discourses of HRM and public sector "reform" are drawn upon as discursive resources in the identity construction of HR practitioners in English local government.My research draws on critical and postmodern discourse analysis approaches to analyse the "texts" of interviews with HR employees from four West Midlands local authorities.
