Investigating the Feasibility of the Vendor Managed Inventory approach for Pharmaceutical Supply Chains in Hospitals

Research Details:
Vendor managed inventory approach (VMI), emerged from the retail industry, has been studied in the Ph.D. research. According the concept of VMI, replenishment decision is transferred from the customer to the supplier in order to enhance process and service improvement. The objective of this research aims to investigate the desirability and the feasibility of the VMI approach in the healthcare industry, particularly for the supply of drugs to hospitals
