I am currently working on the EU funded StageIt project. This involves an 18 month secondment in Odense, Denmark, where I am studying the customer/user experience of an online service community, and seeking improvements to the design of this experience.
I have been working in the Operations Management division at Nottingham University Business School since February 2007, initially on the EPSRC/AHRC Design Scoreboard project, which sought to develop national and firm level measures of design performance. I recently completed my PhD on the role of design in product-service organisation. This involved case studies of the design process within the context of manufacturing companies involved in a transition to the delivery of services or integrated product-service offerings.
My research has been presented at numerous conferences in recent years, including EurOMA and IPDMC, and my articles have, to date, been accepted by Journal of Product Innovation Management and International Journal of Operations and Production Management.
