Why an MBA in Entrepreneurship with us?
The MBA in Entrepreneurship benefits from several key areas of strength:
A University-wide focus on Entrepreneurship
The University of Nottingham and Entrepreneurship go hand in hand. The University was awarded the prestigious Entrepreneurial
University of the Year by the Time Higher in 2008, and the Business School and the Institute for Enterprise and Innovation (UNIEI)
are internationally recognised as pioneers in the area of Entrepreneurship Education.
Superb Facilities
The Enterprise Lab is a bespoke entrepreneurial environment offering infrastructure, advice and support to students engaged in enterprise activity.
Industry Contacts
The Business School and UNIEI are extremely well-connected in the local business community. Students on the Entrepreneurship variant have every opportunity to benefit from this.
Integrative Learning
Integrative learning is central to the Nottingham MBA approach, and entrepreneurship education provides a unique platform for multi-disciplinary engagement and learning. The variant also makes extensive use of SimVenture ™, a business start-up simulation designed to help students understand the complexity of starting and running their own business.
A Commitment to Sustainability
The Entrepreneurship variant supports the development of sustainable enterprise by encouraging students to consider the implications of their entrepreneurial motivations and decision making. The variant links well to the CSR MBA by encouraging students to consider entrepreneurship in other contexts (i.e. social entrepreneurship) and by placing an emphasis on Business Ethics in any context.
